Dating back to 55 B.C., the Wire Fox Terrier was first used as a sporting dog in Great Britain. It is now recognized for its astounding abilities as a show dog. This breed has sharp eyesight and a keen sense of smell, but because of its wiry coat, it needs frequent maintenance. Wire Fox Terriers are good with children and can be useful as watchdog. Very little shedding. Minimal grooming required.
