It is believed the Shih Tzu was originally developed through cross-breeding of the Pekingese and Lhasa Apso more than 1,500 years ago in China. The Shih Tzu has a charming personality and is affectionate and serene. An excellent companion, they behave well with children and other animals. This breed does not shed - great for people with allergies. They require regular grooming. AVERAGE WEIGHT: 9-16 lbs. |
