The Shiba-nese is a beautiful designer hybrid mix between a Shiba Inu and Maltese. This hybrid is hardy, playful and intelligent. Their willingness to please, combined with their intelligence and the clean, naturally fastidious nature of the Shiba Inu, make them easy to house train. The Shiba-nese is lively and affectionate, making them a great companion for children. Thay also get tend to get along well with other dogs and cats, but since the Shiba Inu was bred for hunting, the Shiba-nese should not be trusted with small animals.

This hybrid breed is fairly easy to groom. Simply brush to remove the dead hair and bathe only when absolutely necessary as it removes the natural waterproofing of the coat. Regularly check the eyes and ears for need of cleaning.

The Shiba-nese will do okay in an apartment if they are sufficiently exercised. As with all breeds, this hybrid will do best with a daily walk.
