Native of the Shetland Islands, they are similar to their cousins, the Collies, but are smaller. A very intelligent breed, Shelties train easily and are a favorite of obedience trainers. They are affectionate and loyal to their owners, but are shy of strangers. AVERAGE WEIGHT: 16-24 lbs. |
