Developed in Scotland, the Scottie was originally used to hunt den animals such as fox and rabbits. An endearing appearance and dignified personality quickly led the Scottie to popularity as a companion dog. Scotties develop strong attachment to their owners and are very protective of the home. Often known as the "couch potato" dog. Minimal shedding and requires little grooming.
