An ancient breed dating back more than 28 centuries, Maltese are believed to have originated on the island of Malta. The Greeks so valued the breed as a companion, they would erect a monument to the dog upon its death. Self-confident and fearless, they are trusting and friendly with the entire family. This breed is odorless, danderless and great for those with allergies. They do not shed and require minimal grooming.
